Aurora capital: education the key to combating synthetic pot

Aurora’s mother, who died in a car accident during the summer after smoking marijuana synthetic had bought in the mall, told a panel at Springfield education and legislation are two ways to fight the spread of drugs is the latest to hit the rim.

Karen Dobner was a speaker at an emergency Summit on synthetic drugs called by Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan to get State and federal law enforcement, educators, pharmacists and others to work together.

Dobner s 19-year-old son, Max, died June 14-after he crashed his car into a house in North Aurora. Before the accident, his brother, Max is called told him he’d smoke some legal stuff and having panic attacks.

This is a unique drug, there is nothing we have ever seen before in the American market, Dobner said after the Summit, made it clear that there are more than 400 marijuana synthetic chemicals, making it difficult for the city of craft laws that prohibit it.
